DBamp Daemon Service Restart

VIDEO TRANSCRIPT | Recorded: 2025-10-30 | Verify against current system state

Abstract

Brief troubleshooting demonstration for DBamp connection failures. When encountering connection timeout or "invalid connection string" errors when trying to connect to Salesforce linked servers, the solution is to start the DBamp daemon service. The DBamp Configuration panel is installed on Azure QA and Azure production SQL servers.

Key Procedures

  • Search for "DBamp" in Windows to find DBamp Configuration app
  • Open DBamp Configuration panel
  • Navigate to Daemon Console tab
  • Check if daemon service is running
  • Click Start if service is stopped
  • Verify status shows "Running"
  • Test Salesforce linked server connection
